According to New York magazine's The Cut blog, where the clip debuted on Friday (June 29), the video is dedicated to the first issue of 25, which "focuses on erotica from a woman's point of view." The issue was shot completely by female photographers including Emma Summerton, Annie Leibovitz and Corinne Day. The new magazine also showcases profiles of influential women in the fashion industry, including Liya Kebede, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Roxanne Lowit.
West and Rubik have been friends for some time; she has appeared in both Paris runway shows for his women's collection and was even referenced on his "Way Too Cold" with the lyric "Dinner with Anna Wintour/ Racin' with Anja Rubik/ I told you mother----ers it was more than the music."
Rubik shared the process of creating the video with Kanye in an interview with New York magazine. "It's funny. We talked about porn looks these days, and he agreed with me that there's no porn out there that is beautiful aesthetically and integrates fashion to make a beautiful image," the model explained, before adding, "I thought it would be really interesting to make it seem like we were entering Kanye's head. It's not pornographic, but it's very sensual."
