Pier Silvio Berlusconi, son of Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, is president of Mediaset – the holding company that owns the Italian giants – and has acted as a consultant on transfers.
Milan are in the process of rejuvenating their ageing squad with the likes of Clarence Seedorf and Mark van Bommel shown the door this summer.
And Berlusconi Jr has identified England and Liverpool powerhouse Carroll as a player he’ would like to see in the black and red of Milan in the future.
He said: “This is a new era for Milan. We will continue to get younger while maintaining the culture. Milan still has its superstars.
“As a future target I’d like Andy Carroll.
“I must admit that for his body build, and after seeing his header in the Euros, I would like to have Carroll at Milan.”
