Luka Modric

The Spurs boss wants to make sure the wantaway star, 26, is in the right frame of mind to resume training with his first-team squad.
If AVB feels Real Madrid target Mod’s head is NOT correct he will make him train alone.
The Croatian midfielder has been working in exile at Tottenham’s training ground after failing to show for the US pre-season.
AVB said: “We have to analyse his situation as it stands at the moment.
“I need to see how the player feels mentally to return andthat the club has not received any offers that are rated enough for his talent.
“Hopefully we will get him backbut if not we will continue to monitor his situation and improve on his fitness on an individual basis.”
Real Madrid are threatening to end their pursuit of Modric after Tottenham rejected their £36million bid.
AVB confirmed last night that Scott Parker will have an operation on his damaged Achilles on August 8.
The midfielder will be out for up to six weeks.
