PSY wa ‘gangnam style’ aomba radhi kwa kuwatukana wamarekani jukwaani ‘Kill Those F***ing Yankees’.

Mwanamuziki toka Korea anayetamba na track yake ya Gangnam style ambayo pia ndiyo video ambayo iliangaliwa na watu wengi zaidi kwenye youtube mwaka huu, ameomba radhi kwa rap yake aliyofanya ikiwa inawatukana wamerekani mwaka 2004.

Wakati anaendelea kupata heshima kubwa sana katika ulimwengu kwa ngoma yake, media za Marekani ziliiachia hewani rap yake hiyo aliyoifanya mwaka 2004, na muda mfupi baada ya habari hiyo kuzidi kumake headline PSY alijitokeza na kuomba radhi mapema kwa wote ambao aliwakosea kupitia rap hiyo. Alisisitiza, “I will forever be sorry for rapping the provocative anti-American lyrics at his concert eight years ago.”

Aliendelea kufunguka, “kama navyojivunia kuwa Mkorea ambae nilisomea Marekani na niliishi huko katika sehemu muhimu ya maisha yangu, naelewa kujitoa kwa watumishi wa Marekani na wanawake kumefanya kulinda uhuru na democrasia katika taifa na duniani.”

Varangati hili liliibuka baada ya media za marekani kurudisha nyuma kumbukumbu za watu hadi mwaka 2004 ambapo Marekani ilipigana vita na Iraq, na wakati huo PSY alikuwa bado hajafanikiwa sana kimuziki lakini alipopanda jukwaani alirap, “Kill those f***ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives, Kill those f***ing Younkees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully.”

PSY alijitetea akasema kuwa aliandika mashairi hayo akiwa katika mtafuruku mkubwa wakati wasichana wawili wa shule wa Korea na ilikuwa ni wakati ule.

“Wimbo huo niliimba miaka nane iliyopita ulikuwa ni sehemu ya hisia zangu kali kwa vita ya Iraq na mauaji ya wasichana wawili wa shule raia wa Korea na ilikuwa ni ujumuisho wa upingaji vita kwa wakati ule.”

Hata hivyo mzee wa Gangnam Style anatarajia kupiga show kubwa huko Washington katika tamasha la Christmas litakalofanyika December 21 na kuhudhuriwa na rais Barack Obama na familia yake.

Muwakilishi wa White House amethibitisha kuwa Obama na familia yake watahudhuria na wanatarajia kumuona PSY wa Gangnam Style akifanya vitu vyake jukwaani.

Notorious B.I.G.'s Family Gets Apology From LAPD Over Leaked Autopsy Report

If you felt that the Notorious B.I.G.'s autopsy report was just released out of nowhere, you're not alone. The surviving members of the rap great's family were also unaware that the Los Angeles Police Department would be releasing the gruesome details of Biggie's death this past Friday.
Well, on Monday (December 10), the LAPD apologized to the family of the slain hip-hop icon, born Christopher Wallace. "Due to an administrative error, the autopsy report was released prematurely. Robbery-Homicide Division detectives had intended to notify Mr. Wallace's family prior to releasing the report," read a statement released to the press.

According to the LAPD, they had hoped that the autopsy report, which revealed the trajectory of each of the four bullets that struck Biggie on March, 9, 1997, would help renew interest in the 15-year-old case and prompt new witnesses to come forward.
"Our detectives personally spoke with the Wallace family [Friday] night, and apologized for not notifying them prior to the release" Capt. Billy Hayes told the Los Angeles Times today. "Obviously this has been a challenging case for us to solve. We hope that witnesses or other people with information will come forward and give us the clues we need to solve this case."
TMZ was the first with the documents, which revealed that though he was hit four times, it was one bullet which proved to be fatal. The deadly shot ripped through the passenger door of the SUV where the rapper was seated, entered his right hip and moved through his body hitting his colon, liver, heart and his left lung before stopping in his left shoulder.
The 24-year old MC was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m.

Seven Milky Way worlds could harbour life, say astronomers

Seven planets in the Milky Way outside our solar system could potentially harbour life, researchers from an ambitious project to catalogue all habitable worlds have announced.
The Habitable Exoplanets Catalog (HEC) celebrated its first anniversary with the announcement that it had exceeded expectations in its search for possible new Earths.
Lead researcher Abel Mendez, director of the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo's Planetary Habitability Laboratory, said the team had hoped to add perhaps one or two planets in the project's first year.

The addition of five possibly habitable planets over the two already known totally exceeded anyone's expectations, he said.
'There are many press releases announcing discoveries of habitable planets ... and that is confusing,' Professor Mendez told SPACE.com. 'So having a catalog that everyone can check what is available right now is useful.'

 

With scientists improving their techniques for finding planets outside the solar system, the pace of discovery is increasing, he added. The High Accuracy Radial Velocity Planet Searcher (HARPS) instrument in Chile and the orbiting Kepler Space Telescope are just two of the tools helping researchers find new exoplanets every month.

Professor Mendez's team at the Planetary Habitability Laboratory launched the HEC in December last year.  It was conceived out of the need to measure the suitability for life of these emerging worlds and as a way to organise them for the general public.
There are nearly 80 confirmed exoplanets with a similar size to Earth but only a few of those have the right distance from their star to support liquid water on the surface, the researchers say.
